Peanut Butter and Fruit Freezies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup berries (strawberries, blueberries or raspberries)

  • ¼ cup water

  • A few tablespoons of peanut butter that doesn’t contain xylitol (check the label!)

Method:

   Wash and clean fruit (cut tops off

    strawberries)

    Puree fruit in a blender with water

    Place fruit puree in an ice cube tray or   

    silicone mold, filling ¾ of the way

    Add a small amount of peanut butter to      each mold

    Freeze until completely frozen.

Frozen Fruit Treats for Dogs

Ingredients:

  • Fresh high-water content fruit: Bananas; strawberries; blueberries, watermelon; peaches, mango, pineapple, cranberries, raspberries

  • Ice cubes

  • Ice cube trays or silicone trays

  • Blender

 

Method:

 Wash and clean fruit

 Puree one or more fruits in a blender

 with ice cubes.  Keep the ratio of ice to fruit slightly less (for instance, ¼ cup of ice to 1 cup of fruit). Use one or more fruits to create multiple flavors for your dog. Place fruit puree in an ice cube tray or silicone mold, filling ¾ of the way

Freeze until completely frozen. Two hours or more. Remove frozen treats from trays and store in a Ziploc freezer bag or freezer-safe container. Serving suggestion 1-2 treats per dog
